TMC TRANSFORMERS

EXPANDING HORIZONS IN THE UNITED STATES

In today’s dynamic and fast-paced energy sector, entering a new market is not merely about expanding borders—it’s about understanding context, anticipating change, and delivering solutions that meet the moment. For TMC Transformers, the move into the United States reflects a thoughtful, forward-looking strategy grounded in years of expertise and a clear commitment to innovation and sustainability. Rather than simply following trends, TMC aims to contribute meaningfully to the evolving energy ecosystem. In this article, we take a closer look at the company’s journey, the motivations behind its expansion, and what this new chapter could mean for the future of energy infrastructure across North America.

TMC’s entry into the U.S. market was a strategic move that recognized the growing demand for reliable and efficient energy across North America.
Over the past few years, the U.S. has seen significant advancements in energy infrastructure, with increasing investments in data centre, renewable energy, grid modernization, and electric vehicle (EV) charging networks. These developments resulted in a pressing need for efficient dry type transformers capable of supporting these growing demands.
That’s why TMC Transformers decided to establish a regional production facility in Waynesboro – Georgia.

Who is TMC Transformers?
Founded in 2017, TMC Transformers is a European company active in the manufacturing of dry-type transformers, suitable for distribution and special customers’ needs in various industries, such as data centre, powergen and renewable energies, marine and offshore, mining and railways. What sets TMC apart in a competitive market is its focus on sustainability, cuttingedge technology, and an innovative approach to product development. With a deep understanding of evolving energy trends, TMC has adapted its offerings to stay ahead of industry requirements, providing solutions suited for outdoor installation even in harsh environments, where dry transformers are typically not the preferred choice.

With three headquarters in Italy and one in Israel, TMC’s success in the market to-date has far exceeded expectations prompting the organization to open a USbased headquarters and manufacturing facility in Georgia in 2023. However, as the U.S. energy market continues to expand and diversify, TMC is preparing for the next phase of growth.

Looking ahead: the 2026 expansion
As part of its ongoing international relations and expansion strategy,  TMC welcomed the Governor and the Georgian Delegation and took the opportunity to announce its investment in the construction of a new, larger production plant. This plan aims to meet the growing global demand by more than doubling its production capacity and strengthening its competitiveness in the local market. The new building, set to open in 2026, not only represents an opportunity to invest in new machinery and create new jobs, but also symbolizes TMC’s primary goal of becoming a key player in the U.S. energy infrastructure landscape.
