PUCCIPLAST

What is the current state of development of the WC cistern and what is its role in the contemporary bathroom? We can start from these questions to tell the story of Pucci and its products today, but also the history and evolution of a company that has always proudly remained entirely Italian.

Let's start from the present day. The modern bathroom is a personal care space where technology, style, lighting, and mindful use of water interact to create a functional and relaxing environment. Our daily interaction with technological devices is gradually extending to include multiple devices and functions within the home. In the past few years, the cistern has gained the ability to interact with installers and users to offer an effective and versatile response to different requirements.

Pucci recently launched Sara Tronic, the first smartphone programmable cistern.
Sara Tronic represents two steps forward, one in terms of user friendly technology and the other in the field of multifunctionality. Specialised for use in public toilets for hotels, schools, and hospitals, Sara Tronic is a pulse control cistern that can be easily programmed to match individual requirements. You can choose the user detection distance at which to trigger the infrared flushing sensor, from 0.50 to 1.50 metres; you can also program a complete 9 litre flush, 6 litres, or just 4 litres for junior toilets. Activation distance and flush litres can be reprogrammed at any time by updating the cistern functions on a smartphone. Sara Tronic is available also prefitted on the Rapido and Modulo systems for wall-hung toilets, for easier and quicker installation in any bathroom.

Pucci has made history in the realm of cisterns and the Italian bathroom, with a series of innovations that have consistently answered or anticipated all emerging demands from the public and from installers.

The very first concealed cistern was a Pucci unit made of copper, the result of a simple and ingenious idea: the use of a ball holding sphere to shut off the flush. That ball holding sphere has remained the true heart of the Pucci cistern, but the cistern itself and the bathroom have constantly evolved around it.

A focus on water consumption, with the resulting reduction in the use of this rare, precious and increasingly costly resource, is among Pucci's key aims. Today, saving water is viewed as a personal and collective ethical duty, but the matter was viewed very differently in 1990. That was the year we launched Pucci Eco, the very first dual flush cistern. Eco was the first cistern with a choice of flush volumes, allowing savings of countless litres of water every day. The launch payoff described water as the "gold of the future" – an idea far ahead of its time that has become absolutely current in the present. Today, all Pucci cisterns can be supplied also in an Eco double flush version, because mindful water consumption is essential, both for eco-compatibility reasons and to limit the rising cost of utility bills.

Throughout our years in business, innovation has moved in different directions: technology, water saving, and style. As the interface between user and cistern, the flush plate is the only visible part of the system in the bathroom. The flush plate has gradually evolved from a simple control panel to become one of the features that defines the aesthetic appeal of the bathroom. The Pucci flush plate has become ever more compact, stylish, and slim, redesigned through time to reflect the style icons of contemporary living.

Sfioro is a perfect meeting place of technological evolution and aesthetic appeal. Pucci Eco Sfioro, a minor classic in its own right, was the first buttonless flush plate: flushing is activated simply by touching one of the two sensors, according to the required volume. The Sfioro flush plate is fashioned from glass and light, a pinnacle of elegance in the bathroom with its unmistakeable "touch" of sheer modernity.

Eco Matic is another Pucci product that has created a stir, thanks to its innovative nature and reduced environmental impact. A smart cistern, versatile and fit for all application conditions, that combines technology, strength and style with big savings in water consumption, day after day. Specialised in public toilets, Eco Matic received a Green Innovation prize, recognising companies that invest in eco-compatible production. With pulse control technology, 9-4 and 6-3 litre dual flushing, wall-mounted electromechanical button or elegant touch control, also with a glass plate, Eco Matic has been widely acclaimed for its many excellent features.

A dual perspective, looking back at tradition but also looking ahead towards a future of innovation and compatibility. That's Pucci's philosophy, allowing our company to gain the trust of the general public and installers alike.
