KOH-I-NOOR MACHINERY

COMPREHENSIVE EXPERTISE IN PLASTICS AND MOLDING TECHNOLOGIES

With decades of experience in plastics processing and engineering, KOH-I-NOOR MACHINERY combines traditional manufacturing expertise with modern technologies and continuous innovation. As the engineering division of the KOH-I-NOOR holding company, it brings together specialised companies with complementary capabilities, offering customers a broad range of solutions for plastic components, molds and molding technologies. Its expertise serves demanding industries including automotive, electrical engineering and pharmaceuticals, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and sustainable development.

KOH-I-NOOR MACHINERY is the engineering division of the KOH-INOOR holding company, comprising the firms PONAS (Polička), RONAS (Rožnov pod Radhoštěm), and GDK (Kolová). By combining a long-standing tradition, modern technologies, and deep technical expertise, the division has established itself as a key European partner in the development and manufacture of plastic components and related technologies. The division operates modern production facilities and utilizes over one hundred injection molding machines with clamping forces ranging from 30 to 2,500 tons. Its extensive technological capabilities enable the execution of projects for the automotive, electrical engineering, and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as other industries.

Its product portfolio includes fuel modules, lighting and braking system components, sensors, PCB unit parts, connectors, specialized pharmaceutical packaging, caps, 2K parts, and custom solutions. The company also possesses significant know-how in the field of micromolding. The division’s individual companies complement one another through their respective specializations, collectively providing comprehensive services that range from product development and design to mold manufacturing and plastic injection and blow molding. The group’s operations also include the manufacture of extrusion blow molding machines. The history of the current division dates back to 1949, when the foundations of its technical expertise and manufacturing capabilities were laid—foundations that have since been progressively developed and consolidated into their present form.

A significant milestone in the division’s growth was the 2014 integration of RONAS s.r.o., a company specializing in the production of injection molds for metal insert molding. In 2020, GDK spol. s r.o., a renowned manufacturer of extrusion blow molding machines, also became part of the holding company.
