For more than 35 years, ENGI90 has helped food-processing companies across Emilia-Romagna and Italy run their plants better. Founded in 1990 and based in Sassuolo (Modena), at the heart of one of Europe’s most important food districts, we are a single partner that covers the whole chain — from the electrical panel on the factory floor to the software dashboard in the management office. We design and program control systems built on Delta AX-300, Saia and Siemens PLCs, we build and wire the electrical panels that drive the machines, and we commission them on site.
We know this industry from the inside: ham massaging tumblers, vacuum-packaging machines, brine injectors, conveyor and handling systems, all running in demanding, wash-down, stainless-steel environments where hygiene and reliability come first. What sets us apart is what happens next: we turn those machines into live, connected data. Using Python Modbus/ TCP gateways, web-based HMI and SCADA interfaces, and our own data-acquisition platform, we give plant managers a real-time view of production, downtime and performance — and we make it reachable securely from anywhere, so a line can be supervised or diagnosed remotely without a site visit. Our software team develops custom web and mobile applications with CodeIgniter, Python and React, including installable progressive web apps (PWA) that bring plant information to any device, online or offline. Every project starts with a full analysis of objectives, architecture and deployment, so what we deliver fits the plant rather than forcing the plant to fit the software. A few projects show the breadth of our work. SASSI is a complete plant-control and monitoring system that combines a Delta AX-300 PLC, a Python gateway and a web HMI backed by a MariaDB historian. ACQD — Acquisizione Dati Stabilimento — is our Industry 4.0 platform for collecting and visualizing machine data across an entire facility.
We also maintain, retrofit and connect vacuum-packaging and processing lines, extracting the data needed for modern Industry 4.0 reporting and traceability.
