The history of Rettifica Meccanica traces its roots back to the 1960s, when the Consonni family began her company in Chiuduno, in the Bergamo province. At the beginning, production was focused on tool machine structures. Then the company increased its competence by operating in fields such as steel making, automotives and medical sectors, thus capitalizing on and consolidating the experience it gained along. In the 1990s Rettifica Meccanica began cooperating with the major Italian component producing in the Oil & Gas sector companies by specializing itself in particulars for API 6A and API 6D-class Slab Gate and Expanding Gate valves. This cooperation marked a significant turn by pushing the company into concentrating more and more its resourses and competence into this sector, which gradually began the company’s core business. Unending development and consolidated trade relationship allowed Rettifica Meccanica to expand its own presence even on an international ground.
In 2013 the company opened a new production hub in San Paolo d’Argon. It extends on a 9500 square meter surface, of which 3500 are enclosured and used for production. This enlargement represents another step forward to innovation and production efficiency, aimed specifically at improving quality, also thanks to targeted investments on high technological value equipments which led to fornitures of components for Subsea valves, by cooperating with the leading international engineering and production companies.
