Founded in 1957, Eisenbau has reached in many years of experience a leadership position in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Energy and Hydraulic market in Italy distributing its products for the control and monitoring of liquids, gases and solids. The deep knowledge of industrial controls has allowed the company to design and manufacture a completely new range of products called Guardbox, ideal for monitoring of industrial valves in plants requiring high standards of reliability.
For these reason the company has chosen, for the box material, the aluminum copper free with a surface treatment able to resist at more than 600 hours in salt spray test, or the AISI316L: both types are stressed up to 2 million cycle test. In the early stage of the product design, the technical department thought about “what happens when you install the product”. The result of that attention has been called “easy on field” and can be found in all the Guardbox products. For all the Limit Switch Box, infact, the 3D indicator is visible on all four sides.
The switch activation comes with the patented easy-cam adjustment device. Moreover, the shapes of the boxes have been studied for easy access for adjustments and wiring. The wiring terminals are set back to facilitate the connections. Identification with letters of the cable entries are obtained in the casting. There is a color coding of the packaging for an easy recognition of the product when accepting goods. A QR code is available to access all the documentation of the installed product via smartphone.
The 3D high visibility position indicator is easily adjustable on 360° and can be selected from a wide range of different available versions with various colours and languages. Rigid or flexible indicator extension are available on request, as well as off-set, mounting bracket for rotary actuator and mounting kit for linear actuators enrich the range of the accessories offered.
Today the product lines include three main series:
• The GP series or Guardbox Protection IP66 / IP67 offers total protection from extreme atmospheric agents as well as a wide range of contacts, sensors and transmitters;
• The GI series, certified as intrinsically safe ATEX / IECEx / EACEx / ECASEx, guarantees the electrical safety of the product thanks to the rigorous tests required by the standard. Full certification of the Limit Switch Box for total plant safety;
• The GD or Guardbox Ex d Explosionproof series guaranteed by ATEX / IECEx / EACEx / ECASEx certification.
It has compact dimensions despite having an internal space that allows to provide various solutions according to customer needs. All products, based on their configuration, can be provided with a Safety Integrity Level certificate (SIL2 or SIL3). A wide range of solutions with electromechanical, magnetic proximity switches and inductive proximity inductive proximity Namur sensors, also combined with position transmitters, it’s already available.
