APPLYCA

Ready for TRANSITION 5.0

All-in-one multifunctional laser
For over 30 years, Applyca has been creating custom industrial automation solutions, integrating a multidisciplinary approach that covers robotics, lasers, PLC, CNC, HMI software, vision systems, mechanics, hydraulics, electrical panel design, and pneumatics. Based in Pordenone, Applyca stands out for the high degree of customization in its projects and for designing modular solutions that often integrate Fanuc technology, suitable for various companies.

The latest innovation from Applyca is RoboLaser STEflex, a compact and versatile laser cutting machine capable of laser cutting, threading, tapping, and tube laser processing in a single setup using a Fanuc M-800 robot with 6 degrees of freedom. Robot mounted upside down “The robot is mounted upside down on a Cartesian portal that moves along the X-axis, supported by a frame with four columns on a 4×4 meters cast iron base. The structure allows movement over a 1,500 x 3,000 mm area, extendable as needed, useful for cutting from small pieces to large sheets,” explains Alfonso Sciarrabone, Sales Manager for Applyca’s Laser Solution division.

The machine is aimed at companies needing flexible production with limited budgets, as well as large groups in the naval and construction sectors that benefit from RoboLaser STEflex’s modularity and versatility. This is the first upside-down installation of a Fanuc M-800iA robot, which is usually floor-mounted. The upside- down beam mounting saves space and extends the work area. The base can be newly built or repurposed from old machines, reducing environmental impact and providing cutting-edge technology at competitive prices.

A 4 kW laser head is mounted on the robot’s wrist, allowing 3D laser cutting.
The laser head can cut the five faces of a parallelepiped, processing items like electrical cabinets in a single cycle. After cutting, the robot switches tools for precision operations like threading or tapping, using its flexibility and ceiling-mounted setup. RoboLaser STEflex can accommodate any fiber laser source, regardless of manufacturer or power. Programming is managed by the M-800 robot controller with a Teach Pendant and Fanuc iPC industrial PC, making setup easy and fast. The machine integrates with CAD/CAM programs and Eureka simulation software from Roboris.

The machine is 4.0 ready, being equipped with smart sensors for data collection and predictive maintenance.
Its all-in-one processing saves energy, reducing time, costs, and material waste during production steps. In this way, it supports green initiatives. RoboLaser STEflex allows multiple sheet metal processing steps in a single setup. Its compact footprint and modular design suit various operational needs.

The 100% Fanuc automation allows Applyca to focus its expertise on designing an innovative and technologically advanced laser cell, ensuring maximum precision and reliability.
