Man Oil & Marine is a world leader in the design, manufacture and commercialization of Oil&Gas hoses and rubber compounds. In our facilities we daily produce calendared films and hoses for the transportation of oil, chemicals and liquefied gas products, in marine hose strings and long length continuous hoses for onshore and offshore installations.

Our Mission aims to promote continuous improvement towards process excellence in the design, manufacture, control and sale of safe and performing Oil & Gas hoses. Man Oil & Marine has a long history in the business, as it has been for fifty years an operational unit of Manuli Rubber Industries.
Founded in the 1970s as a joint venture between Manuli Rubber Industries and Uniroyal Group, the Manuli Oil & Marine Division quickly established as a world leader in the production of high-tech rubber hoses for the transfer of oil in marine environment.
Today, Man Oil & Marine has one of the largest production facilities in the market (110,000 square meters) and offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services, ranging from textile to steel reinforced GMPHOM hoses and including the unique long- length type hose.
Exclusively made by Man Oil & Marine, Long Length hoses are bonded elastomeric flexible hoses for dynamic riser, jumper, flowline applications. Lightweight, collapsible and kinkable, the Man Oil & Marine Long Length are ideal for fuel transfers applications in the commercial and military fields.
OPDS Military Application:
The first Long length hose, 6inch diameter, was originally designed in the 80’s for the United States Military Offshore Petroleum Distribution System (OPDS). The hose, designed for conveying finished fluids and crude oil, was reinforced with steel wire cords and had an abrasion resistant cover. Under the initial OPDS contract a total of over 37 miles of 6inch hose was supplied.
The hoses were manufactured in 305 m (1000 feet) sections to allow truck transportation on reels. MOD Military Application: The hose nominal diameter was upgraded to 8inch for the British Ministry of Defence (MOD) Rapid Deployment Pipeline System and was manufactured in 200m continuous lengths for transportation purposes.
Like the OPDS, also this system was a ship to shore fuel transfer application for supplying land-based troops in military operations. After the initial success in the military applications the hose was supplied as bonded flexible hose in 4inch, 6inch and 8inch inside diameters for commercial use in the offshore oil industry as dynamic riser, jumper and flowline for:
