TRANS-MOTO S.R.L. is specialized in the study, design and construction of transmission couplings since 1959, marked by “NORTHON” brand. Our range of products is broad and complete, indeed our systems are used in several industrial sectors: from steel industry to the energy sector, from ecology to mining applications. We are also able to design and build special couplings in short time, out of standard range, customized and tailor made to meet all customer needs.
Today Trans-motion continues its improvement policy, with the aim to maintain the achieved worldwide leadership in the market of power transmission’s components.
NEW PREMISES
In the beginning of 2016 TRANS-MOTO S.R.L. moved in the new premises of Via Veneto 6, Villa Carcina (BS), Italy.
The new premises is 3500 square meter, and this means a huge production and capacity improvement (the new mechanical workshop is almost three times in volume compared with the one in the historical premises situated in via Toscana 10, Villa Carcina (BS), Italy). During the movement of the entire production unit to the new premises, Trans-Moto has also achieved some important improvement steps:
– the review and the update of key production equipment and machinery;
– a new design for the production area, with a smarter arrangement, in order to grant the best manufacturer process management and control and to reduce the processing dead times;
– implementation of production equipment and machinery network, according to the new national legislation “INDUSTRIA 4.0”, with the aim to enable a more integrated production control.
The production capacity will be sooner enhanced with a new Computer numerical controlled (CNC) lathe to further improve the processing time and also to extend the company’s range of services.
ATEX
From January 2017, the ATEX certification is available for all the entire production range. Now, all the Northon’s products (Gear couplings; PN series – Universal elastic couplings; PSA series – Star elastic couplings; Revolution elastic couplings and FLX series) are available with ATEX certification, to use them in hazardous areas with potentially explosive atmospheres.
CARDAN SHAFT COUPLING
Thanks to its consolidated expertise and to the availability of high quality machineries and production equipment and to its high- technology profile, TRANS- MOTO S.r.l. has developed the Northon Solution System (NSS) for the repairing and overhauling service of Cardan’s Shafts. TRANS- MOTO S.r.l. is able to repair, overhaul and regenerate any type of Universal joint.
