MIXIND® by SINTRA: your innovative ambient air pulsion technology solution

After conceiving an innovative ambient air pulsion technology in 1981, Marco Zambolin spent 15 years testing and perfecting his idea before officially introducing the proprietary MIXIND® technology to the market and installing it in the first industrial plants. Even today, after 30 years, the growth strategy remains unchanged: continue to experiment and consistently improve their technologies, day after day, amassing numerous patents. This is the winning formula of his company SINTRA (Innovative Air Treatment Systems), now a Benefit Corporation  and the leading producer in Europe of perforated metal ducts for ambient air pulsion and air supply diffusion, for every type of application, both civil and industrial.

The core of the company, which has a branch in France, is located in Italy, near Novara. Here, projects guided by a clearly defined mission come to life: maximizing the efficiency of technologies, allowing significant resource savings, promoting the recycling of what nature provides.
This is made possible thanks to the patented MIXIND® technology for ambient air pulsion, based on special perforated ducts designed using proprietary technologies alongside a sophisticated calculation system. With the aim of ensuring maximum comfort and optimal efficiency, each system is designed considering the dimensions of the space to be heated/cooled as well as its intended use, type of occupancy and activities carried out in the area.
Initially, this technology was successfully applied in the automotive industry in Italy and France (PSA Group, FCA, IVECO) to address complex issues related to temperature uniformity.

Today, MIXIND® technology has been implemented in the premises of renowned companies and world-class institutions such as Airbus, Banque de France, Dior, Ikea, and Amazon, as well as in large shopping centers, airports, sports centers, theaters, trade shows and swimming pools. MIXIND® allows for energy savings of up to 80%, ensures rapid air conditioning of the environment and reduces the number of perforated ducts: from an average of 30 ducts, it decreases to just 3 and sometimes even just one is sufficient as it can reach a longitudinal range of 150 meters.

To make the feasibility of these solutions evident, the ETC (Expertise & Technology Center) has been established in Suno (Novara), SINTRA’s research and development center designed as a true ecological factory, equipped with all the technologies for saving, recovery, and autonomous resource production.
