Transforming ideas and dreams into high-performance and reliable machines for customers all over the world. This is the goal that has guided Barni Officine Meccaniche S.p.A., an Italian company that operates in the construction of special machines and systems in the steel sector, for over half century.
Nowadays the company’s core business is made up of industrial plants for the processing and treatment of flat rolled products wrapped in coils, and of the transport and finishing machines for tubes with and without welding. For this reason, the range of systems created is varied and over the years increasingly specialized activities have been added concerning both flatand tube products: coil painting lines, coil degreasing lines, coil anodizing lines, special machines to customer specifications, tube and bar finishing lines and packaging machines for hoseand handling. In the latter area, theactivities include: bevelling, bundling, handling heat treatments, quenching heat, sawing technology, mandrel work shop, WMS station.
For approximately thirty years Barni has acquired considerable experience in the pipe production sector. Furthermore, experience has also been gained with respect to materials: carbon steel tubes, stainless steel tubes.
Since 2004, Barni has had an internal technical office that allows to support customers in all phases of the chain and in every detail, from design, to the purchase of materials, to the necessary work, up to the complete assembly of the system, ready for testing with the end customer. In recent years, the production area in Morbegno has increased more and more, to include three buildings with a total surface area of over 10,000 square metres.
Furthermore, since 2021 Barni S.p.A. has also created digital coil printing lines: innovative and sustainable systems that allow the customization of metal surfaces for applications in internal and external environments, providing new opportunities to the world of design and the creativity of designers and architects.
In addition to engineering and construction, the Italian company also provides a unique after-sales customer care service on the market: customers who purchase a welded tube line from specialized producers can count on Barni’s guarantee both on the coil cutting part and for the entire part inherent to the finishing and packaging of the tubes. And, if an intervention by a specialized employee is needed, Barni is able to intervene anywhere in the world within 24 hours. Since November 2023, the activity and experience of Barni S.p.A. has been combined with the know-how of Guida, an Italian company highly appreciated on the world market and known for its quality in the engineering and production of longitudinal and transversal cutting lines for the steel market. Guida boasts over 850 cutting plants, sliting lines, CTL (Cut-To- Length line) units and packing lines worldwide. At the moment Barni and Guida have requests for complete lines from customers all over the world and, thanks to the winning combination, supervision and partnerships from customers are also in great demand.
In the months following the acquisition, Barni and Guida are gaining favour on the market, achieving multiple successes and high and steady credibility throughout the world.
