REDUCED CARBON FOOTPRINT WITH A LIFTRONIC® IN PLACE OF A PNEUMATIC MANIPULATOR
A recent study reaffirmed findings from previous studies that the Liftronic® Series manipulator is environmentally friendly and provides significant savings in greenhouse gas emissions during its use compared to traditional pneumatic manipulators.
The study compared the use of a Liftronic® and a pneumatic manipulator for the same work cycle, which specifically consisted of picking, rotating, lifting and then releasing a 160 kg load for a cycle time of two minutes for a 7.5-hour work shift.
The result was that the use of a Liftronic® manipulator in place of a pneumatic manipulator allows emission saving of about 6 tons. CO2/year, equivalent to the emissions of about 4 Fiat Panda gasoline 0.9 Twin Air Turbo with annual mileage 15,000 km.0.29 kg CO2 emitted per kWh of electricity generated (average energy mix from ISPRA Report 317-2020).
