ALMA Sistemi S.r.l. is an Italian SME which provides high-level engineering and consultancy services in the space and defence market. Founded in 2005, it counts 19 employees and 3 permanent
consultants . With a 2022 turnover of 1.5 MLN€, it has acquired significant expertise over the years, particularly in Research and Technology Development (RTD) projects and industrial contracts
in the space sector (MG S E -Mechanical Ground Support Equipment).
Currently, ALMA is involved in 7 Horizon 2020 and Europe RTD projects, 3 National and 6 industrial in ESA programs as coordinator/prime contractor for most of them. ALMA Sistemi has years of experience providing services and products such as mechanical and electrical ground support equipment, software, project management, CADM and product Assurance in the space market. It also participates in IT T/RFQ and tenders issued by space agencies, EU and Large Space Integrators (LSI), offering system engineering for satellite equipment and payloads (ground segment mechanical and electrical equipment). The company’s expertise also extends to value-added services, such as Earth observation, scientific data exploitation, navigation, development of high-level software for aerospace, remote sensing data and image processing. Recently, ALMA has ventured in RTD for the telecommunication sector with plasma meta-surfaces. Alma’s MG S E team is able to provide turn-in-key MGS Esystems for different types of MGSE (Transport Containers, Tilting Trolleys, dolly, lifting devices, test adapters) for satellites and payloads according to ESAECSS standards.
The team provides design and analysis, oversight over all manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing activities through to product delivery with warranty period coverage.
Alma Sistemi has a list of trusted suppliers for the production of MGSE both at a national and European level. The technical skills of the team cover the requirements of various classes of cleanrooms (from IS O8 to IS O5). The company is IS O9001:2015 certified for mechanical engineering.
Our major MGSE customers are Airbus Defence and Space Germany, Spain, France, Thales Alenia Space Italy and France and OHB System Germany and Italy.
