Safety & Quality of Controlfluid Shut Down Ball Valves

In all industrial activities, SAFETY is one of the prime points to keep under top consideration.
Automation performed by automated equipment and systems is increasingly applied to all industrial processes.
How can we be sure that Safety Systems will work when required?

Can we trust in Emergency Equipments during an unexpected event?

The Emergency Shutdown System (ESD) is designed to minimize the consequences of emergency situations, related to typically uncontrolled flooding, escape of hydrocarbons, or outbreak of fire in hydrocarbon carrying areas which may othewise be hazardous.

An emergency shutdown system for a process control system includes CONTROLFLUID EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN

VALVES AND ASSOCIATED ACTUATORS AND CONTROL ACCESSORIES.
An emergency shutdown valve is an actuated valve de- signed to stop the flow of a hazardous fluid upon detection of a dangerous event. This provides protection against possible harm to people, equipment or environment.

Shutdown valves are primarily associated with the petroleum industry although other industries may also require this type of protection system. ESD valves are mandatory by law on off-shore plants to prevent catastrophic events like the BP explosion in The Gulf of Mexico in 2010.
It is crucial that ESD is FAIL-SAFE and closes upon failure of any element of the input control system, air pressure, temperature controller etc.

CONTROLFLUID has been specializing in actuated valve since 1987 when obtained the ISO 9001 Quality Management System among the first 100 Companies in Italy.

The main quality certifications achieved are:
•ISO 9001 since 1997
•Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU Annex III
Module H
•ATEX 2014/34/EU
•API 602
•SIL Level II and Level III for Ball Valves
•Fugitive Emissions Test according to ISO 15848-1
and ISO 15848-2
