F.M.B. was set up in 1982 and was one of the very first companies to propose band sawing machines at a time when the market was dominated by circular saws. Since then, thanks to its great ability to evolve, to research innovative products and to modify the machine to suit the customer actual needs, F.M.B. has become a leading company in this sector.
All our products are the result of in-depth studies and sophisticated computer systems, plus stringent practical trials and tests. F.M.B. is always well aware of how important it is to be able to offer a continuoulsy evolving machine – that’ve invested heavily in our technical and engineering office.
Knowing that the quality of a product depends heavily on the quality of its components, all F.M.B. suppliers have always been carefully selected to guarantee absolute quality of materials and reliability. Each machine is thoroughly tested, with mechanical calibration, and electrical tests using special instruments to check the absorption rates and to keep a look-out for any anomalies.
FMB participated as historical exhibitor at the EMO fair, from the 16 th to the 21 st September 2019, the most important event of the world of metal working.
We presented this year the new product made in FMB: the automatic Athena 41 A bandsaw, a totally protected double column automatic bandsaw for the 0° cuts with a blade with height H41. The Athena 41 A reaches a cutting capacity of 460mm in diameter and 460 in width. Athena 41 A is also equipped with a technologic 10” touch screen display which is conform to the rules for the Industry 4.0. Athena 41 A is also equipped with an intelligent software: the user will have the possibility to insert the values concerning the dimensions, the material and the geometry of the piece to be cut and the machine will calculate and follow the correct parameters for the cut (with possibility to change them for the operator). These are only some of the innovative features of our new product.
This is the new model which fits in our range of 35 bandsaw models, we produce manual, semiautomatic and automatic bandsaw in order to satisfy all the needs of the customers all over the world, our machine are equippable with many different options, which we studied and developed in order to give a solution for most of the requested needs.
