IMT Intermato S.p.A. was founded in 1983 and is located in a 15,000 square meter facility, with annual turnover of approx. € 50 million. The production range is composed by vertical lathes for all kind of components, starting from little pieces for automotive industry to components up to 6 meters of diameter.
The main fields are represented by automotive industry, Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Railway, bearings and so on.
We develop also tailor made solutions with different accessories and automatic lines in order to meet all possible customer needs.
Single and dual column vertical lathe series NTM and VBM
The advanced machines technology has clear goals: to grant the best productivity and quality of machining of large workpieces. The structure is characterized with exceptional strength and rigidity. The base, the uprights, table and the movable traverses are specifically designed and reinforced for maximum rigidity to eliminate twisting, bending and vibration, at maximum power.
The series offer table diameters between 1.200mm and 6.000mm and turning diameters between 2.500mm and 6.700mm and 120 ton of table capacity.
These solutions, that integrate flexibility and design modularity, offer various configurations without precluding the possibility to have special solutions (one or two vertical carriages, multiple tool-holders, tool-magazines with automatic tool changer and palletized systems). The movements of RAM, X-axis and eventually table are hydrostatic. The power can reach 150kw and over with a torque of 265.000 Nm
The dimensional grown of IMT Intermato’s offer, perfectly matches the technical choices made. Machines in which the important size, also makes important the possibility to place the operator in the best position respect to the work-piece. Hence the decision to offer the possibility to have the mobile operator platform, that increases the ergonomic in every step.
