Vi.s.a.f. has manufactured cold formed screws and bolts for all needs since 1977
Vi.s.a.f. was set up in 1977 by Sbaffi Bruno under the supervision of his uncle Sbaffi Luigi, founder of the metal smallware company “Officine Meccaniche di Precisione” in 1966. In September 2026 the company will pass to his daughter Lorenza and her partner Gary. This long family history highlights the deep roots of Vi.s.a.f. The company has constantly grown since 1977, in terms of both quality and quantity, gradually enlarging its premises until 2000, when it built its new headquarters, a surface area of approximately 5,000 square meters.

Our company uses a modern, integrated quality control system to monitor, record and trace every stage of production through PCs installed on each machine. Over the years, Vi.s.a.f. has also introduced sorting machines to inspect finished products in line with ISO 9001 requirements. All processing is carried out with great attention to the environment. Every stage of the production cycle is monitored, and automatic oil collection systems prevent potentially harmful materials from being released into the environment. The collected oils are then reused in production or disposed of in accordance with the law.

Thanks to these precautions, we have proudly been awarded the ISO 14001 certificate.
In July 2026 Vi.s.a.f. will have a new certification, PAS24000! PAS 24000 (published by the British Standards Institution – BSI) is an international technical specification that defines the requirements for planning and implementing a Social Management System (SMS). In this context, it ensures a standard and, thus, protects, monitors, and improves corporate social responsibility performance. However, Vi.s.a.f. does not consider quality as a mere certificate to display, but rather a corporate system aimed at ensuring efficiency and traceability.

Efficiency means we can quickly respond to the customer’s needs thanks to optimized production processes.
Traceability means we are always aware of the exact location of a screw in the production cycle thanks to a company-wide information digitalization system.
We deal with steel, brass, copper, aluminum, bronze, stainless-steel screws, nuts and bolts produced in accordance with the customer’s specific needs. Over the years the company has increasingly specialized in the production of small head screws ranging from M2 to M6. 140 mln monthly production of screws, rivets and pins, over 70 production machines, 4400 sq. m. production area, over 20 experienced fastening operators.

For over 40 years Vi.s.a.f. has manufactured cold formed screws, especially small head screws, mainly for the electrical and fashion sectors. Its passion is clearly represented by the company motto “All the screws in my head”. Production is only made by design based on the customer’s needs. All the raw material is in compliance with the European regulations on pollution control (preventing the use of pollutants, for exemple by using lead-free brass and eliminating hexavalent chromium from cycles).
