There are many advantages to using a hydraulic compactor, but some stand out in particular: the ability to limit the dispersion of molten metal, increasing yield and reducing the volume of chips by up to 90%. Not only that, but they also make it possible to recover almost all oils and emulsions, as they are equipped with an oil collection tank and a recirculation pump.

The Violi range of briquetting machines is designed to meet a variety of needs. The VM/CTA0 series briquetting machines are suitable (in the case of short chips) for direct positioning under a machine tool, while the new VM/S23 series briquetting machines are designed for all companies with high productivity standards. This new model consists of a dosing hopper, which conveys the chips into the pre-compaction chamber, allowing to produce briquettes of uniform size. As for precious metals, Violi produces Automation and industry 4.0 compliance Controlled by PLC, they operate completely autonomously, can be managed remotely, and fully comply with Industry 4.0 requirements.
All Violi briquetting machines can be equipped with a shredder to allow the compression of long chips, and with multiple accessories to make the process more efficient. The technical characteristics can be customized according to the type of starting material and the productivity two different machines: one for short chips from diamond cutting, pantographs, etc., with high-power, fully automatic pressure, and the other for long chips from machine tools such as turning and molding scraps, which can be either manual or automatic. Over the years, Violi has also designed and manufactured a series of systems, the latest of which is the VM/CTA1TR1: consisting of a box lifter and tipper with discharge onto the shredder; after shredding, the product is conveyed through a screw conveyor into the hopper of the briquetting machine. The system is equipped with product presence sensors for automatic process management. The handling system is enclosed in suitable panels with a safety door and the cycle is managed by a PLC.
