Carrara Spa, based in Adro (Brescia, Italy), is one of the leading Italian companies in the industrial sealing sector. Planigraph ESP
The latest innovation, Planigraph ESP, is the result of continuous R&D activities conducted by Carrara S.p.A., representing a paradigm shift in graphite gasket manufacturing. Instead of focusing on production processes, the company has made improvements to the raw material, enhancing performance beyond what is currently guaranteed by lubricant-based technologies. This benefits the environment as industrial valves equipped with Planigraph ESP meet current low emission targets.
The Enhanced Sealing Properties (ESP) of the material ensure a low friction coefficient and high elasticity without compromising chemical integrity. Made from modified expanded mineral graphite, Carrara S.p.A. has developed the PGT4 GR8622ESP stem packing, known for its competitive sealing capabilities and reduction of fugitive emissions. Compliant with API 622 (3rd edition) and ISO 15848 BH C01/ C02 standards, it is used in Oil & Gas, hydrogen, VOCs, VHAPs, chemical, and steam services and is also suitable for cryogenic applications.
