Anticipation is growing for the fifth edition of Industrial Valve Summit
The countdown has started: only one year left before IVS – Industrial Valve Summit 2024, the leading international event for the Oil&G as valve technologies and flow control solutions .
The organisers, Confindustria Bergamo and Promoberg, are ready to welcome the entire supply chain on 15th and 16th May 2024 at the Bergamo Exhibition Centre, in Italy.
From one edition to the next, the event has taken on an increasingly central role within the industry, generating growing interest from specialist operators. Indeed, the industry has identified the Summit as much more than an ex hibition.
As well as being a key event for the development of business, IVS is an international meeting place where change can be analysed and interpreted, identifying and examining the challenges to which the supply chain is called upon to address. Industrial Valve Summit not only offers the opportunity to meet the major players in the global supply chain and establish new business ties, but it is also an opportunity to take an in-depth look at the latest technological innovations, examine market developments and economic and social macro-trends . Scientific discussion around the sector’s hottest topics will be developed in the conferences and conventions that will be held during the days of the trade fair.
All this, in the setting of an area that is at the forefront of the ferment generated by IVS . Bergamo and its province are ready to welcome thousands of people from all over the world. Not only in terms of hospitality and infrastructural efficiency, but also through a cultural, networking and leisure offer that goes beyond the two-day exhibition. In particular, the Bergamo district is a strategic centre of gravity not only for IVS but for the entire industry. A 100-kilometre radius of the province is home to 90% of the companies that contribute to the industrial valve value chain in Italy. A leading territory both for the sector and in over the world. Not only in terms of hospitality and infrastructural efficiency, but also through a cultural, networking and leisure offer that goes beyond the two- day exhibition.
In particular, the Bergamo district is a strategic centre of gravity not only for IVS but for the entire industry. A 100-kilometre radius of the province is home to 90% of the companies that contribute to the industrial valve value chain in Italy. A leading territory both for the sector and in the third edition) from 12 countries: in addition to Italy, these were Germany, Great Britain, the United States of America, France, South Korea, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa, Turkey, and the Czech Republic .
The Summit premises have also achieved a record: the total surface area has expanded to 15,000 square metres in 2022, thanks to the creation of a third pavilion in addition to the two at the Bergamo Trade Fair. This is a very valuable result, considering the travel restrictions in force last year in some areas of the world and the complex ities of global scenarios in recent years .
The growth trend was established from the very first moments of the exhibition. The third edition of the Summit attracted over 250 companies and almost 10,800 visitors to Bergamo. Numbers
36% greater than the 8,000 attendances recorded in 2017 and trebled in comparison with the 3,500 accesses recorded in 2015.
Data that tell how IVS has been consolidated as an essential event for the entire global supply chain connected to industrial valves and flow control.
The organisers and the supply chain are in constant contact with one another, as testified by events and discussions in the run-up to the exhibition.
Last November marked the fourth edition of the IVS Valve Industry Think Tank , an event organised by IVS in synergy with Valve Campus, the association for education and training in the field of industrial valves, which has always been the scientific partner of reference for the Summit.
The Think Tank analysed the ex tremely topical issue of the relationship between the transition and energy security : a topic that, for companies in this sector, represents a central issue both in
daily business and in the future. Events like the Think Tank further qualify the trade fair as a centre for sharing information and ideas, with the aim of contributing to the creation of value.
With a special focus on new opportunities and sustainability in environmental, social and governance matters, for which IVS acts as a strategic space facilitating the process of change.
