The Italian specialist for high-tech header machines got through the pandemic well – and is setting ambitious goals for the future.
What began with the company foundation in Milan in 1939 has developed over the decades into a leading global technology company based in Garlate, specializing in the manufacture of headers for cold and hot wire forming. Today, the largest producers of fasteners, for example in the automotive and aerospace industries, rely on Carlo Salvi to increase their productivity. The company got through the Covid pandemic well: “90% of our sales are generated in exports. Thanks to good results in international markets and our strengths in digitalization, we had a good year,” reports Mr. Pizzi. By investing in digitalization, Carlo Salvi was able to put every delivered machine through its paces using remote access and thus offer customers uncomplicated and quick service even in the midst of a lockdown.

The entire production process can be tailored, managed, and coordinated, from initial consultations through development and manufacture to customer service. The Carlo Salvi forming machines offer a lot of possibilities: thread rolling, drilling, and tapping are just a few of the many applications. All the headers are equipped with a management system that enables the processes to be monitored at any time via remote access.
