Scaglia Indeva S.p.A. was founded in 2004 by the spinoff of the “Material Handling” Division of Scaglia srl.
Scaglia srl, founded in 1839 for the production of wooden spools and accessories for textile machines, was the starting-point for the development of an Industrial Group with interests and activities in various sectors, today still owned by the Scaglia family. Scaglia INDEVA S.p.A. is a world leader in the design and production of “Intelligent Devices for Handling”, better known as “INDEVA”, a new generation of industrial manipulators. It is the only manufacturer in Italy of intelligent industrial manipulators with electronic control. A tenth of the turnover is invested in research for a continuous improvement, effort repaid by many prestigious loyal customers, including names such as Comau, Fca, Audi, Ford, General Motors, Thyssen, Coca-Cola, Nestlé.
Scaglia INDEVA was the first company in the world to design and manufacture electric manipulators, the now famous Liftronic®, as early as 1975. Since then, thanks to constant research and development, Liftronic® is today the most performant electronically controlled manipulator on the worldwide market.
Unlike traditional pneumatic manipulators supplied by Italian and foreign competitors, INDEVA® manipulators detect and balance the weight of the lifted load continuously, so you can switch from one load to another with different weights without any adjustment. They allowing fluid and precise movements, without jerks or delays in responding to the operator’s intention. An intelligent industrial manipulator is considered as human arm extension because it allows natural and intuitive movement with almost no effort required.
